Barrie has worked on a variety of award-winning projects since joining Foster + Partners. Originally from Manchester, he graduated from the School of Architecture and Town Planning at Newcastle University before moving to London, joining the practice in 2007. Barrie has an interest in masterplanning, materiality, innovation and sustainability which is best reflected in the first project he oversaw, the Masdar Institute. Barrie has a passion for cycling and is often seen in the country lanes of Surrey.
