Andreia is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 20 years experience in electrical systems and building services. Her project portfolio spans from site-wide medium-voltage and low-voltage networks, as well as commercial and residential developments. She is a skilled team leader, adept at budgeting scopes of work for electrical services, organising project tasks, and negotiating deliverables to meet specified timelines. Andreia joined Foster + Partners in 2016 and was made Partner in 2025. She plays a key role in the Environmental Engineering team. Her work has contributed to sustainable design strategies, including the integration of renewable energy generation and storage into architectural planning. Andreia has been instrumental in promoting resilient and energy-efficient power distribution solutions such as microgrids and on-site generation potential as well as smart building technologies, helping shape buildings and cities that are “lean, clean, and green.” Her contributions to the field have been recognised through industry accolades, including being named a finalist for Best Woman Electrical & Mechanical Engineer at the 2017 WICE Awards, which celebrate excellence among women in construction and engineering.
