London Open House - 17 September 10am to 5pm

Foster and Partners will be opening their Battersea studio to the public as part of the London Open House weekend. This is an opportunity to visit one of the worlds pre-eminent architectural practices, which has been responsible for many instantly recognisable buildings, including the new 30 St Mary Axe (Swiss Re Headquarters), the Great Court for the British Museum, the Millennium Bridge in London, the Reichstag, Berlin and the HSBC Headquarters in Hong Kong.

Completed in 1990, the open sixty-metre double-height main space allows everyone, visitors and architects alike, to be immersed in the creative process and each staff member, regardless of their position, has a workspace at one of the long workbenches and a view of the Thames and Battersea and Albert bridges.

Open House London is an annual celebration of the capitals architecture. It takes place during the weekend of 17-18 September, when over 600 buildings, many of which are normally closed, are opened to the public. It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the richness of Londons architectural heritage.

Entry is to the mezzanine floor with views over the 60-metre single space studio. No need to book, just turn up between 10am and 5pm and see several of our most recent projects on display.
