Foster + Partners has opened a new office in Miami, Florida. The office is located in the Miami Design District, a creative neighbourhood that is known for its galleries, public art, and world-leading furniture and material shops, with direct connections to Brickell, Miami Beach, and Miami International Airport.
David Summerfield, Head of Studio, Foster + Partners, said: “We are delighted to open our new office in the Miami Design District, which will play an important role as a regional hub for collaboration, building and strengthening connections with clients in this part of the world.”
Juan Frigerio, Partner, Foster + Partners, added: “We are excited to be working at the heart of such a vibrant neighbourhood. Inspired by this ever-changing city, we are building a team of talented people, who will work alongside our London office to deliver highly responsive architectural solutions across the region.”
The team in Miami – led by Juan Frigerio – occupies the fourth floor of a building on 41st street. Their open workspace features tall ceilings, polished concrete floors, meeting rooms, and a lush terrace with outdoor seating. The studio will maintain a permanent exhibition of models, with shelving and tables built in collaboration with the University of Miami’s School of Architecture Model Shop.
The Miami office will serve as a central hub for the Southern United States, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, facilitating meetings, workshops, and collaboration between the team in London and the practice’s clients across the region. The office’s location will also allow for efficient coordination with major cities, such as São Paulo and Buenos Aires.
