Hearst Tower in New York has won a coveted British Construction Industry Award at a gala awards dinner last night. Receiving the International Award, the jury commented that Hearst was "innovative, visually stunning and finely detailed" and that "the delighted client remarked on the efficiency of the work space resulting in improved productivity and staff appreciation". They also added that "the best of British design has brought a new element to the Manhattan skyline".
Celebrating its 20th anniversary and attracting over 180 entries, the BCIA is the UKs premier building and civil engineering award programme. The awards recognise excellence in the overall design, construction and delivery of buildings and civil engineering works and place particular importance on client satisfaction.
