The Communications team publicises the practice’s work through PR outreach, website and social media, award programmes, book publications and exhibitions. It also supports the technical teams with marketing, bids and competitions, graphic design and research.
The bid team helps the practice pitch for new work, including preparing bespoke Requests for Proposals and other competitive tenders.
Providing graphic design and art direction, as well as packaging, branding, exhibition design and signage consultancy, the graphic design team ensures that the corporate guidelines are implemented across all forms of internal, external and branded communications.
Two-dimensional drawings – plans, sections, elevations – from project teams are brought to life through colour and animation by our illustration team for competitions and publication.
The marketing team devises ways to promote the work of the practice for external audiences, through the practice website and social media, award programmes, bespoke publications, conferences and public facing events.
The in-house photography team carries out all the practice-related photography, including models, site progress shots and the completed building. It is also responsible for maintaining the practice’s image library.
The press team leads the practice’s PR strategy distributing press releases, and visual material, liaising with journalists and publications from around the world, writing, articles, essays, film scripts and supporting the practice to ensure written excellence.
The publications team researches, edits and illustrates books, newsletters and catalogues published by the practice and publishes the in-house journal, Plus.
Providing research support to the entire practice, the research and archive team is also responsible for maintaining the Foster + Partners archive that includes precious drawings, slides and photographs, models, publications, awards and other practice-related ephemera.
