- Continuous learning

Work XP

We run an annual work experience week for Year 11, 12 and 13 students that offers an overview of career opportunities available within a multi-disciplinary practice such as Foster + Partners. This programme is particularly suited for students hoping to study architecture or any other creative discipline. The experience encourages development of software skills alongside teamwork, project management and presentation.

In-Practice Placements

Working with our design teams, our in-practice placements offer an immersive experience for Part 1 Architectural Assistants and early BIM professionals on design projects. Working closely with designers and clients, the six or twelve-month paid placements are an opportunity for holistic professional development.

Apprenticeships

Foster + Partners is one of the founding members of the Architecture Apprenticeship programme in the UK, which provides an alternative and affordable route to architectural qualifications. The programme provides a two-fold learning experience with academic studies and on-the-job learning, which offers a working salary throughout. Occupational competence is tested through an independent End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of the apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are a great way to gain hands-on experience and jumpstart your career. You are given the chance to start your professional development early through networking, mentorship and learning the latest techniques and technologies.

Kasia Gryszkiewicz, Former Architectural Apprentice

I highly recommend the apprenticeship pathway to becoming an architect. Not only did I receive hands-on experience working on unbelievable projects but I also had the opportunity to learn from expert professionals and earn a salary all whilst learning.
