The Murezzan development involved the refurbishment of two existing buildings to create sixty new residences, as well as a restaurant, shops and galleries. The proportions of the interior spaces have been restored, creating a series of unique apartment layouts that reflect the character of the original architecture. The materials palette is soft and natural. Drawing from the hospitality industry, the apartments combine the warmth and tradition of the family hotel with the grand hotel’s extroversion and comfort, and the boutique hotel’s fashionable, informal charm. Their refined, minimal design is complemented by more traditional alpine elements, such as fireplaces and wooden floors, and deep bay windows accentuate the lake views and draw inhabitants into the alpine landscape.
