FontanaArte - Three Sixty Table Lamp

Foster + Partners reinterpreted the traditional anglepoise lamp for Candle, a trademark of FontanaArte and the resulting Three Sixty table lamp was launched at the Milan Furniture Fair in 2005. The refined proportions of the frame are balanced by a small luminous disk that can be tilted to reach any point on the table’s surface.
The Three Sixty table lamp measures 90 centimetres when elongated and is pared down to its essential components – the light is a balanced composition of arm, stem and base with a delicate tilting luminous disk, operated by a discreet lever below. Animated and full of character, when arranged horizontally it is suggestive of a skier crouching, poised to take a jump. The lamp uses an elegant palette of materials. It is available in matte white, dark grey or chrome finishes. While the light is currently only available with halogen bulbs, the range has now expanded to include a floor version with the same slender profile.
