A travel grant of £6,000 is awarded to one student each year chosen from over 100 architecture schools with RIBA validation in the UK and abroad. Each school can nominate one student.

The scholarship will fund international research on a topic and in a location of the student’s choice, with travel to be carried out by the successful applicant between June and September 2010.

Their findings will be presented in a report – which may be photographic, graphic or written - to be displayed at an exhibition at the RIBA and available to view in the RIBA Library. In January 2009, Foster + Partners donated an extra £100,000 to the endowment of the RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship, enabling the scheme to run annually.

Further details of the Scholarship can be found on the RIBA website
